There was a group of cats that were moved by an uneducated person out to a farm a few months ago. In the mix of moved cats was this little female. The family who suddenly had four additional cats on their property contacted me. One of their concerns was that this little one did not seem to know what to do. Over time they felt that she really was someone’s pet who unfortunately was at the wrong place at the wrong time and got caught in a trap. They brought her to SART. We took her to our vet and discovered that she was already spayed. She has been with us and she seems to be missing her family, so I am posting her picture, hoping that her rightful owner recognizes her and contacts us to bring her back home. She is such a sweetheart, but truly does not enjoy shelter life. If you recognize her please contact us through our contact page! She wants to go home!

We have learned of a woman who is undergoing treatment for brain cancer. Her doctors have advised her to find homes for her pets due to her weakened immune system. Homes have been found for her two dogs. She also has two house cats. They are very friendly, well behaved and loving with each other. One is a two year old fixed grey female and one is a six year old fixed black male. They would love to be together. We would love to move them from a home to a home. Cats who have a loving home do not do well coming to a shelter, as wonderful as SART is.
If you are willing to open your home to these two, please let us know. Time is short. She is due to be released in the next coming days and her home needs to be animal free. Please help!

This darling little boy is Quill. He is 12 weeks old, and was found abandoned at the lake by a gentleman mowing. He is the sweetest, calmest, most loving kitten. He spent the day at the vet and got neutered, wormed and inoculated. The staff at Doc’s office fell in love with him. He is so desperately wanting a home with loving people. He is litter trained, very interactive, but entertains himself quite well. He would only go to an inside home- he has had enough of being out in the world….we are so glad he was found before something or someone harmed him! Would you open your home to him? He is so deserving.

This was the County Clovers 4H group from New Bremen, OH. The members in the picture from left to right include Kendra Paul, Kristen McMurray, Jordan Paul, Grant Brautigam, Ashley Paul, Ashley Bowers. In the back are Joe Maurer and Lily Brautigam. The adult volunteers were Scott and Tina Paul and Sam and Katie Brautigam. And, the cat is Jello. This wonderful group came to SART on this past weekend and cleaned our storage barn, picked up the winter’s litter in the woods, cleaned the machinery building up and organized some much needed items. One even pulled out the stain and stained one of our picnic tables. We are so appreciative of their willingness to do a kind deed for someone, and that they chose SART to do the kind deed for! Volunteers are so precious!
