Of course, every one has a wish list. And it is no different at SART Inn. There are things we would like to have to make our shelter a little more comfy for our residents. Someone told me that if I don’t ask, no one will know. There is a Need List posted on the “Donate” page of this website, but I think we also have a “Wish List.”
It would include:
1. New 8′ x 10′ rugs for the shelters for winter. Ours have seen better days. We would need 7-8 of them.
2. More electric water dishes that heat up so that the water doesn’t freeze in the winter. We use the big dog size.
3. A new sweeper – ours has definitely seen better days!
4. A few more regular volunteers that will roll up their sleeves and work along side the regulars to keep the shelter clean, the residents fed and loved, and help with different chores along the way.
So, if something like the above sounds like something you would want to donate, please let us know. SART and residents would all appreciate it!

During the month of October SART will not officially adopt a black cat or kitten. You may visit with them, select the one you want, and we will hold it, but due to the awful behavior of people towards black cats around Halloween, no black cat or kitten will leave SART until November 1st.

SART is a member of Iam’s Home4TheHolidays Adoption Campaign. This is the 11th annual adoption campaign, and over the last 10 years there have been a total of over 3 million animals adopted worldwide. Iams has set the goal for this year’s campaign to 1.5 million worldwide.
Our first adoption of the campaign was a little sweet girl named Hope. How fitting. All shelter animals hope for their perfect forever home, and Hope got hers. She is doing so well, and her new family loves her very much. They have sent pictures and comments and we hope that all of the adoptions following Hope will follow her lead – their new forever home and happiness.
If you are considering adopting a kitty, please think about contacting us to meet and greet our residents. We have kittens from 9 weeks up through 5 months old, and then we have adults that are the most sweetest creatures. You will enjoy the visit, and they will too!

Right now we have 119 cats and kittens at SART. You can imagine how many hours it takes each day to clean, feed, medicate, love, organize and do all the essentials like laundry and paper work. Due to this fact, and the fact that there is not always someone available, we are asking that you call the phone number 419-733-3650 to set up an appointment to meet and greet for an adoption. That way, there will be enough time set aside for you and we will be better able to serve you.
If you want to come and help, pet and give attention to the animals, it would be good to also call and set up a time. We are going to have the shelter closed on Saturdays for a while so that projects can be completed for the winter, and we have the time on Saturday to complete what needs to be completed. We thank you in advance for your consideration for the animals’ sake as well as the volunteers of SART.

We have so many wonderful, loving animals that are healthy and happy and just want to be in a home where there is plenty of love and care for them. If you are at all interested in possibly adopting a cat or kitten, please contact us and we can set up a time for you to come meet and greet the residents of SART.
You will be so glad you took the time to come. It will make you smile – everyone who comes walks away feeling happier and more relaxed. SART is a place that has become a sanctuary for many. Please come and visit. Contact us to set up a time to come out.
We are now connected to Petfinder.com, where pictures of our animals and descriptions are available. We are still entering our residents onto Petfinder, but you can click on “SART on Petfinder” at the bottom of the home page and it will take you to Petfinder.com to our postings to see pictures of our cats/kittens. More will be added in the next week or so.
