The days fly by! After 23 years SART is busier than ever! We have fixed 9350 cats through being at shelter, TNR and outreach. We have rescued 5200 cats and have adopted 5050! Every day is busy. Lots of outreach and posting of lost/found cats. Advising indivusls on their specific situation. From our humble beginning to now SART has made a difference!

December 1st is Giving Tuesday. This is a global day for giving back to what you support and believe in. We would love to have you share and share! SART has rescued over 4000 cats, adopted almost 3000 and completed 900 TNRs. Along with the day-to-day tasks and upkeep at the shelter, we also feed several locations every night and spread information on lost and found pets in the community. Your donation will go directly to these services since SART is completely run by volunteers. All raised money goes directly to the cats!

This year has been difficult and unique for everyone. We’ve had to make some adjustments at SART, especially because we were unable to run our annual fundraisers. Adoptions have been much lower but the need has been greater! We have condensed the occupancy of our resident cats from 7 rooms down to 4 to help save expenses. It’s a bit crowded but it’s working. Help would be so appreciated! We so wish our kitties would be adopted into loving homes. They range from five months up to many wonderful seniors. They are so deserving!
So, on Dec 1st please give. Our goal is to raise $2000 for the shelter and services. And we thank you for it!

We’re teaming up with 2 Willy’s BBQ & Catering to offer you a night off from cooking and an opportunity to help our organization! That’s right. You get a delicious chicken dinner, and the proceeds of each dinner sold go towards benefiting SART by covering the costs of veterinary services, medications, food and other everyday staples. It’s a win-win!
For more information and to purchase tickets, go to https://www.sartohio.org/chicken/.
We’re really looking forward to this event! Share with your friends!

SART has been working in the community of St Marys and surrounding areas for 17 years! We have rescued over 4000 cats and kittens, have completed 689 TNR, have adopted over 2800, feed community cats nightly, help find solutions for people with a pet problem and care for over 200 at the shelter every day.
The virus has changed our world in many ways. It has affected us as well. To keep safe, we do not allow visitors in our building which means there is less attention for the cats. Adoptions are not being done as well.
That being said, ongoing revenue has diminished with no adoption donations and visitors not leaving a monetary gift as they leave. Sadly, lovely, adoptable cats are having to spend even longer without a loving family.
But like all of us, financial need continues. There are bills to pay, supplies to be purchased, and it continues regardless.
If you love the kitty you adopted from SART, if you love what we do every day, or you just want to help, or you are looking for a place to help, please make a monetary gift! We have suspended our planned fundraisers, and with no adoption donations our income has dropped drastically. All shelters are in this situation and it is tough!
The quickest way to send a gift is to go to https://sartohio.org/donate. Or you may mail to SART at PO Box 146, St Marys, Ohio. 45885. Please remember that all money goes directly to the care of the cats. SART is completely run by volunteers!
We thank you for any gift you can make! And we pray that each of you stays safe
